Great location in the centre of town
We stayed on a sat and was quite loud with the noise from the pub. Also had someone jump on our van in the night. Toilets handy.
Nice place in the town right middle of all eateries and shops. Downside is only the noise from drunk or merry people 🙂 Had groups of loud people now and then until 1 or 2 am. But if the beach one is full this one is a great free place.
Not enough camp sites, too many permanent caravans.
Great free spot in the heart of downtown, must come early to get one of the limited spots. The bathrooms were not bad but they do not stay open 24/7, also no showers or water fill up.
5 small parking allowed pitches. Toilets just in front and clean. Quiet and near a small supermarket. Wifi through the BNZ bank right next to the supermarket.
Pretty basic carpark behind the Information Centre. The carpark is tarred, and big enough to manoeuvre the camper. Very basic, but free! The down side was the group of drunk people that emerged from (I'm guessing) a near by pub around midnight. It was pretty noisy for a while, but it was a Saturday night... Loses points due to the drunken fools bashing on my camper door at 1am. :(
