Nice and quiet, out in the countryside. Small place with just a toilet. A small river just by the campsite.

Stayed there one night. The drive is via sealed and gravel road although doable with a campervan. We reached pretty late afternoon so didn’t have time to look around. The camp site was just fine and the toilets were not inviting. Lots of flies along the walls and not a feeling of a clean place.
Unfortunately it rained hard the following morning so we left pretty quickly.
Does not live up to experience with other DOC scenic camps as location stuck in valley and mostly between trees. Gets dark pretty quickly at night because of this.

This is definitely not scenic! They may call it scenic as you have to drive 5k from the main road to get to it.
Overpriced for a patch of grass to pitch a tent as most of the 'scenic' sites are! It should be $6-8 p.p. and not $13. Just money grabbing... It should be based on what facilities or amenities the site has, not just because its surrounded by trees.
This site is accessed through a gate which you need to open and close behind you. There is a basic drop toilet and a non treated water supply. No shelter or picnic benches which even a lot of the free sites have.
Positives - it was quiet and wasn't overcrowded like many sites are. Also fairly decent to see the stars as there was no bright lights around to interfere.
(1 point for having a toilet, 1 point for having water, 1 point for being quiet and 1 point for not being crowded).

Lovely camp ground. Very big with heaps of secluded camping areas, hidden away. Drop toilets in each of the different areas. Free with Camp Pass. Very well kept. Would have loved to stayed longer and do some of the walks, but we were limited with time.

A quiet, clean campsite with good bathroom facilities and a fresh river to swim in on warm afternoons. No cooking facilities, but we enjoyed our stay here a lot!

Nice quiet spot, set alongside a river. There was only 2 other people camping there when we stopped in for the night in late November. No fires allowed. Gravel road to get in but fine for campervans.

Shared the large campground with only one other van in late November, gorgeous river views - good for swimming, easily accessible and lots of toilets (drop) around the grounds - bring your own toilet paper!
