Pretty amazing formations and really interesting information on theories along the short walk. Apparently best to go during high tide but not possible for us.
Also you can see seals further back down the coast at the seal colony which was really cool.

The walk is easy, with good viewpoints over fantastic geology. We shared the experience with a crowd of people with differing ideas about personal space and acceptable behaviour. Go early morning to avoid the tourist hordes and both the walk and your photos will rate 9-10/10. It's still worth a brief stop even when it is crowded.

This place is a tourist/tour bus mecca, but it does not even matter 'cause it is awesome. The rocks here are stunning (nature is awesome), but if your time your visit with high tide you are in for a treat. The blowhole is worth waiting for the big sets to come in, but my favourite was the surge pool.

You must stop off here on a south island trip, it is an awesome place just 35 minutes drive from greymouth. WE also diod the Truman track walk, wait till low tide then you can walk up the coast a bit at the end of the track where there are some caves. But dont get caught by the tide on your way back!

It would be a crime to drive past these rock formations, regardless of the weather. We were there when the weather was good, and the light at sunset really sets them off. In rough weather, visitors get treated to the spectacular blow holes. The park itself is well-maintained & landscaped. Entry is free, but we made a donation to the upkeep of the park.
