You can stroll along the river bank to the spectacular Rainbow Falls, where the water tumbles into a pool surrounded by native bush. You may hear tui call, and see fantails flitting about while you walk. The path leads to viewing platforms.
Access is from the parking area at the end of Rainbow Falls Road, Kerikeri, or from continuing the Kerikeri River Track.

Lovely waterfalls. We were there in summer so it was great for swimming below the falls. We also did the walk down the path to the fairy pools to swim there too. Well worth the visit.
Very pretty walk, only short but led to a nice waterfall where we stopped for a picnic before heading back.
Rainbow Falls is a beautiful site to visit. the walk is easy on well maintained tracks and walkways. Some of our group took the swim and climbed up behind the falls for a real upclose view. It had rained for three days prior to our visit and the water was really flowing. We got there early in the morning and had the entire place all to ourselves. it was very peaceful
I have been there twice, very impressive waterfalls, nice track to walk.

Wonderful and quiet.
Beautiful, quiet, a long walk in the forest.
High waterfall, you can swim in front and climb behind it.
It is a nice walk through the bush but I saw much better waterfalls elsewhere.
Worth a visit! Very scenic! Be sure to go to all the lookout points including the track to the bottom. If you are daring you can climb along the rocks at the pool at the bottom and get behind the falls but be careful of slippery rocks.
Only a 3 minute walk from the car park.
One of the most impressive falls in NZ.
We were there during heavy rain, so the falls were even bigger and faster than normal. The pool was nearly twice as big.
Don't try to go behind the falls during or after rain.
Best swim ever, you can swim in the basin at the falls. Falls are nice and water was warmer than in the ocean.
Great walk from Keri Keri. Rainbow Falls are really beautiful. If you don't mind dirty feet you can go behind the falls, really cool.
Amazing spot and swimming. A must do in Keri Keri.
Thanks to all the good people working for the NZ Department of Conservation - for all your hard work - making NZ more beautiful, accessable and healthy! Cheers 😍
